Abstract No. 1

This piece is an experiment in capturing the abstract and flowing images of ink on water, in the form of a lino print. I dropped ink into a plate of water, then made marble prints on paper which I then drew from and rearranged to create this pattern.

Paper: Acid-free and eco-friendly, this handmade paper is crafted in Nepal from the Lokta bush, which regrows after harvesting. The paper is a soft, natural off-white color and provides a beautifully textured backdrop for the print.

I recommend framing your print with a sheet of acid-free white paper behind it to enhance the appearance of the print. The transparency of the paper benefits from light filtering through, adding a dynamic quality to the artwork.
